A recipe for а healthy dessert

I dedicate this post to all my favorite patients who are saddened when I tell them to limit sweets. 🙂 I offer you a quick and healthy dessert without white flour, white sugar and without heat treatment. Contains products rich in fiber, protein and unsaturated fatty acids. And here they are:

10 dates fruits

10 prunes

1 banana

2 tbsp. chia seeds dissolved in 6 tbsp. lime juice

1 tbsp. almond protein

1 tbsp. honey

The products are mixed gradually in a kitchen robog in the sequence in which I described them. Then they are formed into small balls and rolled in coconut shavings. Leave in the refrigerator for about an hour to firm up and are ready to eat.

What are the health effects of the main ingredients?

One of the products is called "the best food for your future". These are the dates. They are rich in minerals - selenium, copper, potassium and magnesium; vitamins - almost all of group B and vitamin C; rich in protein, unsaturated fatty acids and fiber; antioxidants - phenols and carotenoids.

Cashews are now an indispensable product in vegan desserts. Much has already been written about its nutritional characteristics. I want to draw your attention to one study, which analyzes the immunological capacity of the nut. According to the report, cashews reduce the circulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines, reduce the dysfunction of the intestinal mucosa and have a powerful antioxidant effect. All this is to be studied further, but the more I read, the more confident I become in one. The quality of food and the amount we consume are essential for skin health. And cosmetics, and all the other care we take for it, are inseparable steps from good eating habits.

I will quickly remind you of the healthy potential of this fine-grained superfood - chia seeds. Its useful ingredients include alpha-linolenic acid, polyunsaturated fatty acids, proteins, fiber and antioxidants. It finds a place in diets for weight reduction, lipids, blood sugar. Chia extract and chia oil are also part of ingredients in cosmetic products. Research in this direction should be deepened in order to verify the positive effect of chia seeds as a topical application.

In conclusion, with certainty and a half-empty plate, I want to say that the phrase "healthy dessert" certainly exists. I strongly encourage you to try my suggestion for one.
